  • I am always disoriented after my orgo exams, these past two anyways.  I end up walking in the wrong direction, only to become confused.  My friends laughed a little at me for that today (oops).

I'm not sure if I was shaking afterward because I was so cold, or because I was laughing from how epically I think I might have failed it.  I know I definitely should have gotten at least 9 pts (out of 100?) since I knew how to do some of the energetics stuff.  I forgot all my jackets at home, except one hoodie that currently is covered with dried yogurt :( , and my cardigan.  On the bright side I think I aced my Latin exam, not that that is part of my major or anything o_o.  But I really enjoy that class; my teacher cracks me up, on the inside.  I don't think I laugh aloud in there much because it is 9:40 AM and I feel drowsy internally then still, somehow.  Though I'm up way before then.

I'm supposed to do my lab report now on SN1 reactions, so perhaps that would have helped if I did that prior to the exam for class. >_>  I just took a pill with caffeine in it; maybe that will help me make it through the night.  O_O

I have a funny story for later :) .  Trigger words -- trade post; also meant to write about the sea butterflies!  Hopefully I won't have forgotten by the time I get around to it.

  • I'm pretty sure you score much higher than a 9...lol. Are you sure you didn't just forget a ones-digit after the 9? :P Good luck on your lab report. SN1 reactions...those were good times haha. Don't have too much caffeine now, otherwise you won't sleep at all! > <

  • I am sure you did better than you say , Melinda .
Go on and the exams will be in your pocket .
Caffeine ? You work in the night ? I know I knew this but don' t us to much .Any way good luck for your lab report .
Thank you for your RYC.  I prefer.

lol, yeah, I hope that it turns out okay. >_> who knows, maybe I am incredibly good at guessing reactants/products O_O...or maybe I'm not -_-.

Haha, the caffeine didn't seem to work on me. I took a 1-hour nap around 2-3, maybe and hour after eating it and then I was still super drowsy. Coffee never seems to work on me either; except it's warmth actually makes me more cozy --> tired. Or gives me tummy aches O_O. I think I'm used to running on very minimal sleep M-W...then I crash. o_o I might have to try not to put labs on consecutive days. I learned from last semester not to have them at 8:30 AM, lol! Never again, unless absolutely necessary X_X!!

  • Weird, caffeine does nothing for me either.

I saw a movie where a guy got really good at shooting after drinking whiskey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SO5VO2ixWY Maybe it will work for organic chemistry too.

Sleep though, that is really important, make sure you do that.

It is unfortunate because I could surely use it in my physiology class. I almost always fall asleep in there; pity. It is after lunch right in the dip of my Circadian rhythm; and the lights are dim; and the teacher drones without inflection in a monotonous voice. It is quite dreadful for such an interesting subject.

I have never heard of that movie before. I don't suppose I should experiment with that O_~; but then again, with orgo I can never be sure about anything! O_O!

I got about 2 hours today. :) Monday nights I usually get between 1-3 hours; same with Tuesday nights. The nights before labs are always treacherous. D: But I try to catch up with in during the rest of the week :) . Try to give myself a bit or respite, esp weekends. x_x
    :)

  • haha get enough sleep! It's better to catch up on studying on weekends than to catch up on sleep, because your studying will go faster and your sleeping will be better

  • @phantomFive -

True true :) , perhaps I'll take a turbo nap! :D I kept falling asleep on my lab notes, so that might be a hint. Might also be because I was studying on my bed...

    :)

  • It's really important. You've GOT to get enough sleep, even if it means studying less. Going with so little sleep will reduce your IQ by 10 points, and that's if you even manage to stay awake long enough to hear your professors' lectures! Even if you're asian there should be a limit to your study amounts.

  • @phantomFive -

:) I'll try :) . If I could figure how to be more efficient with my time I think I'd do a little better. But I also have some perfectionist tendencies that drive me insane. =

  • education is overrated

  • @CaKaLusa -

now, is love or education more overrated? :O

  • lol I can tell you the easiest way to be more efficient, and that is get more sleep ;)

  • @phantomFive -

win win situation I suppose. Who couldn't use more sleep nowadays..?

  • lol well I make sure I get enough sleep!!

    Enjoy your meteor shower.

  • RYC : Thanks for your comment, Melinda . It is true a garden gives much emotions and provides good food !!

The good and bad thing about living on campus is that it is really well lit at all hours. So the sky was slightly faded out; I saw about 7 meteors this morning :) . I've seen a lot more in the past, but it is better than waking up to a cloudy sky and seeing none (and being up!) Did you check it out at all?

  • Nah, I pretty much gave up looking at the stars ever since I moved to the city

  • @phantomFive -

Aww, yeah and I guess Cali doesn't have the best atmospheric conditions for that either. :(
