  • If there was anything my room was blessed with (besides me having awesome roomies), it would be the view of the sky.  I love just watching out my window--there's all sorts of weather out there, and I just love clouds.  I used to imagine bouncing in clouds, like Care-Bears or just flying around in general.

(n_n) [Not to mention there is a tennis court, and some people have really funny form!  Not that I play well, but I know how it should generally look.  Heh.  I was half-joking that my tennis-karma would be reaching untouchable levels since I've laughed at so many people from the safety of my room.  How pathetic, right? lolz.  Next time I even try playing, I'll probably get my lame-ass beaten up; then maybe someone else will be laughing at me .]

When the clouds looked like this (above), it reminded me of a few things:
    1) The sky in Kansas when I was leaving in 2003.  That was one of the best summers of my life thus far.
    2) How awesome it might be to paint something like this with a nice flat brush (the streaks of light).
    3) The Little Mermaid and the light rays in the water (which, by the way, was one of my favorite Disney movies, though now that I'm older I like the ideas behind Beauty & the Beast a lot more--& the dandelions in the opening scene!):

Sometimes watching sunsets reminds me of the Little Prince & how he would watch them when sad.  Then I either become reflective of the sad recent occurrences, or I become happy because I am crazy for colors and sunsets are spectacular like that.

It is too bad the tennis lights bleached out the colors in the one below:

I am actually content right now.

  • I wanna see your tennis pose!

lol I didn't even bring my racket here! I brought it first year, but since I didn't play at all I didn't bother to bring it back. And come to think of it I don't think I have any pictures of me playing tennis, that I know of anyways. I'll post one if I get one :) .

  • Wow you have an awesome view of the sky! I envy you. Anytime you want to see beauty all you have to do is look out your window....or look in the mirror.
    Where do you live?

  • Yeah, that is a nice view! A lot better than the view from mine.

Lol @ tennis karma. If you were half-joking that means you're part serious!
I've actually given up at tennis since it's been so long since I last played that I know I'm gonna be awful. My friends call my a traitor for converting to Ping Pong :P

:) I am currently in Tampa/Florida. The down side though is that there are always lights on, so I never get to see the stars anymore. : How about you?

What's in your view? I was under the impression that USC was fairly pretty. Last year I didn't have one because I lived on the first floor and there was a tree that covered my entire view.

Heh heh, I played with my dad one of the recent times that I went home, and it was horribly embarrassing. I had been watching people play my last semester also (from the living room), so that might explain it! (jk jk!)

Haha, Ping Pong is too fast for me :D ; did you play often then?/ do you play Ping Pong a lot instead? (not very related note) but I've always wanted to step on a Ping Pong ball :D , just like how people like crushing bubble wrap. I just can't bring myself to do it because it would be wasteful :( .

Oh the USC campus is pretty, but I don't live on campus anymore. I live in an apartment a block away, and USC isn't in that awesome an area. I get to see some run-down buildings and a sad little side-street. The other thing about LA is that it has no clouds...the sky is so plain.

I started playing ping pong because I got too rusty at tennis and as a result, many of my balls went out or didn't make it over the net. We spent so much time picking up balls instead of hitting that I decided to switch to ping pong because it was a lot faster paced. I got pretty decent at it but of course I'm nothing compared to a trained ping pong player. Haha...I die a little inside everytime I see a ping pong ball get crushed T_T It only costs $0.25 to replace though. There's actually a gumball machine-like thing that you stick quarters in for ping pong balls. On the other hand, that's good laundry money @_@

Btw, just yesterday, I was listening to a playlist on YouTube of a pianist playing some music from Disney movies. Brings back good memories. Ok, so I wasn't really into Beauty & the Beast and Little Mermaid (Lion King is my favorite), but I still think the music is great. And the pianist is really skilled too, so you should check out some of his videos! Or maybe you might have played some of the pieces yourself? 0.o

Ah, okay. Maybe occasional haze in the distance? If the distance isn't obstructed by buildings?

Haha, that is how I played last time I did (more time picking up then..). Haha, to get change for laundry, I usually stick in dollar bills into vending machines and pushing the "coin return" button. But it isn't foolproof =, one time it gave be change back in dimes, which didn't help since the laundry machines only take quarters -_- (oh fail!).

Not into princess[-ish] movies? O_~ Lion King made me really sad, but it was my favorite to karaoke to XD.

Oh wow! This sounds amazing. I never got good with piano--I didn't put enough heart into it, which I regret now, and I also got distracted because I enjoyed talking to my awesome teacher more than I enjoyed playing. 0:D I envy those people who are good enough to turn to a piano (etc.) when in need of venting. All I can do is try to tune in to something that will brighten things or kinda commiserate with me. I bet my brother would love this too! He seems to like piano versions of the Beatles' music better than the original versions XD. Thanks for sharing n_n!
