Flowers
Happy Father's Day...
I had always wished to receive flowers for something. I don't know why, I guess it's just one of those things that people hope to receive once in their lifetimes--indeed, it is a total waste--the flowers wilt before long, and their vibrant colors fade, but it is the gesture that seems pleasant.
Well, I felt touched when Dad bought me flowers for graduation. Dad, who is usually a bit tight-fisted bought something useless! And, of course, they're beautiful, as most flowers are. Now, they are looking less lively. They're petals are browning at the edges. So, today I decided to clip a few, and smash them. Not destructively, but the opposite--they're being pressed between assorted textbooks (mostly Chemistry) and wax-paper.

Chapter 18
You know how people talk about "chapters" of their lives? A detailed book of each year of my life would be odd to see. Luckily, I won't bore myself, or anyone else with that. Xanga & Blogger do good jobs preserving my random thoughts. It is strange, when I use Mozilla, my internet always dies when I get on Xanga...on Internet Explorer, it seems alright. That might explain the poverty of posts of late. I get really angry when the internet dies, so I decide not to post. Oh well...I wonder why it does that?
I went to Books-a-Million the other day. It was pretty pleasant, except it started to storm...
I bought a few books..
- Atonement-Ian McEwan (I want to watch the movie sometime..if the book is good I will; if not..)
- Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone (in Spanish)
- Phantoms in the Brain-Dr. Ramachandran!
Time for an adventure!..I'm going to Taiwan for a few.
